Explore the tools available through the SERPtag MCP Server. When your AI assistant is connected to SERPtag MCP, it can access a collection of read-only tools that retrieve live ranking data from your account. You don’t need to call these tools directly—simply ask your AI assistant a question in plain English, and it will choose the appropriate tool automatically.

Current Version SERPtag MCP currently includes 14 read-only tools for projects, keywords, rankings, account information, and historical data.

Project Tools

Manage and explore your SERPtag projects.

Most conversations follow a simple workflow.

List Projects

For example, you might start by asking:

Show me all my SERPtag projects.

Then continue with:

List the keywords for my SERPtag project.

Finally, ask:

Which keywords dropped the most during the last 30 days?

Your AI assistant automatically chooses the correct MCP tools for each request.

Current Limitations

At the moment, all SERPtag MCP tools are read-only. You can:

View projects
Retrieve keyword rankings
Analyse ranking history
Review account usage
View alerts

You cannot currently:

Create projects
Add keywords
Delete projects
Refresh rankings
Update alerts

These capabilities are planned for a future release.

Requirements

To use the SERPtag MCP Server, you’ll need:

An Agency or Enterprise SERPtag subscription (2,500+ keywords).
A valid SERPtag API key.
A supported AI assistant such as Cursor, Claude Desktop, Claude Code, VS Code, or Windsurf.
